Officiating Athletics

Officials are a key part of any sport, and Little Athletics is no different. In order for our competitions to run smoothly we need parent volunteers to help the chaperones run each event. This isn't hard to do - the chaperone can quickly run you through the rules.

For those interested in becoming an accredited Official, there is more information available below. There is no requirement to become a State Official if you undertake these courses.

Level 1 Courses

The Level 1 Official courses are designed for those who want to learn the rules to help at club or regional level - perfect for parents.

Level 1 is made up of 10 separate courses, as can be seen below. Each event has online learning, and a multiple-choice quiz. Completing each course makes will make you a Level 1 official in that event. You do not need to complete every event.
